Candidate Search: Bulk Email

The Bulk Email feature allows SCU users to send messages to multiple candidates directly from the Candidate Search page.

💡 Why this is important

Bulk emailing removes the need for manual one-by-one messaging. It's a vital feature for managing high-volume candidate engagement—perfect for:

  • Sending onboarding details to multiple shortlisted profiles

  • Sharing job opportunities to pre-screened pools

  • Following up with partially engaged candidates

By automating communication, SCUs can save time and maintain consistent messaging.


🛠 How it works

  1. Click the Bulk Email icon
    Located on the top-right toolbar of the Candidate Search page.

  2. Browser confirmation popup appears
    You'll see a warning if any disabled candidates are in the list.
    ⚠️ Disabled candidates might be included in the recipient list and email delivery might fail for those profiles.
    Choose Cancel or OK.

  3. Compose your message
    A browser-based modal opens:

    • Add a subject (max 500 characters)

    • Type your message in the body (max 5000 characters)

    • Use formatting tools (bold, italics, alignment, lists)

    • Click Send

  4. Final confirmation
    A second browser prompt confirms the total number of recipients before sending.
    Click OK to proceed.

  5. Email delivery
    Emails will be sent to all selected candidates.


✅ Key points to remember

  1. ⚠️ Disabled candidates: If any disabled candidates are included in your recipient list, you will be warned. Emails may not be delivered to them.

  2. ✏️ Subject and body limits:

    • Subject: Maximum of 500 characters

    • Body: Maximum of 5000 characters

  3. 🧰 Email formatting: You can use bold, italics, alignment, bullets, and numbering within the message body.

  4. ✔️ Confirmation prompts: You will see a browser-based confirmation both before composing and before final sending.

  5. ⏱️ Instant delivery: Emails are delivered immediately after you click Send and confirm.

  • Use the Advanced Search to narrow down candidates before emailing.

  • Check for profile completeness or JScores to target high-potential candidates.

  • Be mindful of email tone and relevance, especially in bulk communication.
