The Decimal View offers a clear and concise way to read and manage timesheet data. While the core actions — such as editing, saving, approving, and audit logging — remain unchanged, this view presents every time value in decimal format for improved readability and mathematical ease.

The Decimal View is essential for users who need to:

🧭 Navigation
You can access Decimal View via two methods:
From the Timesheets page in the Staffing Workspace
Through View Companies → Timesheets (automatically selects the company)
Once on the Timesheet page:
Use the view selector dropdown next to the shift list
Select "Decimal" to switch the view
ℹ️ Switching views (Hours ⮂ Decimal) is instant and does not affect saved data.
🧠 Contextual Colour
Different time logs are colour-coded for easy differentiation:
🔵 Blue Dot: Morning Shift
🟠 Orange Dot: Afternoon shift
🟣 Purple Dot: Night shift durations
And:
🧱 Dark Grey Cell = Saved successfully
🧮 Total Hours column shows the full total of approved hours for the candidate in that week
🪄 Hovering on Total Hours reveals breakdown into Regular vs. Overtime
Functional Details
Decimal values are shown in the format

Max allowed per cell: 24
Invalid characters or exceeded values trigger a red highlight
Unsaved entries are shown with a small red triangle in the top-right corner
Cell actions:
Save a single cell 💾
Save entire row 💾
Approve cell or row ✅
Bulk approve all rows within a shift ✅✅
Disapprove approved entries ❌
📝 Remarks & Audit Controls
Remarks (up to 500 characters) can be added per cell.
View Audit Logs and Audit Controls by clicking the ⋮ three-dot menu next to each cell.
Track:
Who made the change
What was changed (old vs. new value)
Timestamp and role of user
🕵️♀️ All changes are logged for full transparency.

Decimal View is best for payroll admins, accountants, and operations teams
Switching between views does not affect data
Red indicators help highlight errors or unsaved entries
All other features — shift filters, approval, remarks, audit — remain unchanged
