๐Ÿ“˜ Overview

The Decimal View offers a clear and concise way to read and manage timesheet data. While the core actions โ€” such as editing, saving, approving, and audit logging โ€” remain unchanged, this view presents every time value in decimal format for improved readability and mathematical ease.

๐Ÿ” Why this page is important

The Decimal View is essential for users who need to:

  • Quickly calculate total hours

  • Export timesheets for payroll processing

  • Avoid confusion from mixed time formats

  • Ensure consistency across departments using decimal-only formats

โœ… How it helps

  • Displays time values in a uniform decimal format

  • Enhances efficiency for payroll and billing calculations

  • Reduces manual conversion of hour:minute to decimal

  • Supports error validation and approval workflows

๐Ÿงญ Navigation

You can access Decimal View via two methods:

  1. From the Timesheets page in the Staffing Workspace

  2. Through View Companies โ†’ Timesheets (automatically selects the company)

Once on the Timesheet page:

  • Use the view selector dropdown next to the shift list

  • Select "Decimal" to switch the view

โ„น๏ธ Switching views (Hours โฎ‚ Decimal) is instant and does not affect saved data.

๐Ÿง  Contextual Colour

Different time logs are colour-coded for easy differentiation:

  • ๐Ÿ”ต Blue Dot: Morning Shift

  • ๐ŸŸ  Orange Dot: Afternoon shift

  • ๐ŸŸฃ Purple Dot: Night shift durations

And:

  • ๐Ÿงฑ Dark Grey Cell = Saved successfully

  • ๐Ÿงฎ Total Hours column shows the full total of approved hours for the candidate in that week

๐Ÿช„ Hovering on Total Hours reveals breakdown into Regular vs. Overtime
