The Leaves section allows you to:
View your PTO (Paid Time Off) balance
Submit a PTO request
Track the status of your requests
Cancel a submitted request (if needed)
All leave requests are managed inside the Leaves tab within your Work Card.
Accessing the Leaves Section
Step 1: Go to the Home Tab
Locate the correct Work Card.
Step 2: Click the Leaves tab
You will see:
Your Leave Request history
Current Leave Balance
Status of each request
A Request Leaves button
Understanding the Leaves Page
The Leaves table includes the following columns:
Leave Request Details
PTO Date
Number of hours requested
Reason (if provided)
Submitted Date
The date you submitted the request
Status
Possible statuses include:
Submitted
Approved
Rejected
Cancelled
Leave Balance
Shows your balance before and after the request (if approved)
Action By
Shows who took action on the request
Includes the date of approval, rejection, or cancellation
Requesting PTO
Step 1: Click Request Leaves
A Request PTO window will appear.
Completing the PTO Request Form
You must complete the following fields:
PTO Request Date *
Select the date you are requesting off.
PTO Duration *
Select:
Hours
Minutes
Reason
Optional field (Maximum 500 characters allowed).
Your available PTO Balance is displayed at the top of the form.
Step 2: Click Submit
Once submitted:
Your request will appear in the Leaves table.
The status will show as Submitted.
Your employer will review the request.
PTO Request Status Explained
Submitted
Your request has been sent for review.
Awaiting employer action.
Approved
The employer has approved your PTO request.
The approved hours are deducted from your balance.
Rejected
The employer has rejected your request.
No PTO hours are deducted.
Cancelled
You (the candidate) cancelled the request.
Cancelled requests will not deduct PTO hours.
Cancelling a PTO Request
Candidates can cancel a PTO request if it has not already been finalized.
Once cancelled:
The status will update to Cancelled.
No PTO hours will be deducted.
PTO Balance
At the top of the Request PTO window, you will see:
PTO Balance: X hours available
This indicates how many PTO hours you currently have available.
If your balance is 0 hours, you may not be able to submit a PTO request (depending on employer policy).
Important Notes
PTO requests must be submitted through the Leaves tab.
Employers can approve or reject PTO requests.
Candidates can cancel their PTO request.
PTO hours are deducted only when a request is approved.
Contact your employer if you need clarification regarding a rejected request.
