Understand how the Shift Timer and Break Timer work
All actions are completed inside the Time Clock tab within your Work Card.
Before You Clock In
If you have not started your shift yet, you will only see:
A Clock-In button
No timers visible
Timers only appear after you clock in.
Clocking In
Step 1: Navigate to Home
Locate the correct Work Card.
Step 2: Click Clock-In
A confirmation pop-up will appear:
You are about to clock in. Clock in time cannot be changed. Are you sure you want to proceed?
Step 3: Click Yes
You'll see the message "✅ Clocked in successfully."
What Happens After Clocking In
Shift Timer (Left Timer) Starts
The left timer begins counting immediately.
It shows how long you have been signed in.
It updates in real time.
It continues running until you clock out.
The Break Timer (right side) will remain at 00:00:00 until you start a break.
Starting a Paid Break
Step 1: Click the Break dropdown
Select Start Paid Break
Step 2: Confirm
A confirmation pop-up will appear:
You are about to start a paid break. Paid break start time cannot be changed. Are you sure you want to proceed?
Click Yes.
You will see the message "✅ Paid break started successfully."
What Happens During a Paid Break
Break Timer (Right Timer) Starts
The right timer begins counting.
It shows how long you have been on break.
It updates in real time.
Shift Timer Continues Running
The left timer continues tracking your total shift duration.
Break time is recorded separately in the breakdown table below.
You will see a new line item added:
Paid Break – Start Time – In Progress
Ending a Paid Break
Step 1: Click End Paid Break
A confirmation pop-up will appear:
"You are about to end your paid break. Break end time cannot be changed. Are you sure you want to proceed?"
Click Yes.
You will see the message "✅ Paid break ended successfully."
Paid Break Summary
After ending your paid break, the system records:
Break Start Time
Break End Time
Total Time Spent on Break
The Break Timer stops increasing and the final duration is saved.
The Shift Timer continues running until you clock out.
Starting an Unpaid Break
Step 1: Click the Break dropdown
Select Start Unpaid Break
Step 2: Confirm
A confirmation pop-up will appear:
You are about to start an unpaid break. Break start time cannot be changed. Are you sure you want to proceed?
Click Yes.
You will see a success message confirming the unpaid break has started.
What Happens During an Unpaid Break
The Break Timer (right timer) starts counting.
The break is labeled as Unpaid Break in your shift table.
The duration is tracked separately.
Unpaid break time does not count toward your total paid hours.
Ending an Unpaid Break
Step 1: Click End Unpaid Break
Confirm when prompted.
You will see a success message confirming the break has ended.
Unpaid Break Summary
After ending your unpaid break, the system records:
Break Start Time
Break End Time
Total Time Spent on Break
The Break Timer stops, and the final duration is saved.
The Shift Timer continues until you clock out.
Clocking Out
Step 1: Click Clock-Out
A confirmation pop-up will appear:
You are about to clock out. Clock out time cannot be changed. Are you sure you want to proceed?
Click Yes.
You will see the message "✅ Clocked out successfully."
Shift Summary After Clocking Out
Once you clock out, the system finalizes your shift and displays:
Clock-In Time
Clock-Out Time
Total Time Spent on Shift
What Happens to the Timers
The Shift Timer (left) stops.
The Break Timer (right) stops (if applicable).
All shift and break durations are saved in your daily record.
Important Reminders
Clock-in and clock-out times cannot be edited after confirmation.
Break start and end times cannot be changed.
Always end your break before clocking out.
Paid and unpaid breaks are recorded separately.
Unpaid breaks do not count toward paid hours.
Ensure you are clocking in under the correct employer.
