🔍 Why this Page is Important

Understanding and verifying break patterns is crucial for operational efficiency, payroll accuracy, and compliance. With real-time integration from the J4B app, managers can:

  • Identify if breaks were taken or missed

  • Confirm break durations with photo and GPS location

  • Maintain transparency with audit-ready records

  • Detect patterns of extended breaks or unusual behavior


🧭 How to Navigate

  1. Go to the Timesheets

  2. Use the dropdown on the top-right corner and switch to Paid Break Time or Unpaid Break Time

  3. Select the desired date range, job, and shift

  4. Each candidate’s break-in and break-out data will be displayed under the corresponding day

🟦 Note: Break data is available only if captured via the J4B mobile app.

  • Break View Options
    Choose between Paid or Unpaid Break modes depending on your tracking preferences.

  • Accurate Data Capture
    If breaks were recorded via the J4B app, you’ll see:

    • 🕐 Break In and Break Out timestamps

    • 📍Location data

    • 📸 Photographic proof

  • "NA/NA" Display
    If a candidate did not take a break through the J4B app, it will appear as "NA / NA" for that date.

  • Multiple Breaks
    If a candidate took more than one break, each break instance will be listed in the same cell.

  • Approval Status with Contextual Colours

    • Green Highlight: Approved break times

    • Grey Text: Pending entries

  • Time Zone Accuracy
    All time entries reflect the local time zone of the job location.

  • Break Preview Navigation
    Use the "Prev" and "Next" buttons to cycle through break details for each record:

    • View exact timestamp

    • Check associated photos

    • Confirm captured GPS coordinates

  • 📲 Encourage candidates to use the J4B mobile app to ensure break data is captured in real time.

  • ✅ Always review and approve valid break times regularly to keep payroll in sync.

  • ⏹ Pay special attention to candidates showing NA/NA repeatedly—it may indicate a missed punch with app usage.

  • 📅 You can switch between different views like Timesheet, Decimal, and Sign In - Sign Out for complete visibility.
